Today is National Day of the Teacher. We want to take a moment to thank all of our teachers for the lasting impact they have on our students each day. Their dedication helps create classrooms where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to grow.

This week, we’re celebrating our classified and certificated employees. In every classroom and across every campus, they make a difference for students each day by creating supportive, engaging places to learn and grow. Please take a moment to thank them for all they do.

Sports Days Volunteers Needed - We need many volunteers to help run game stations! Please let us know what day you are available to volunteer - TK - Friday, May 8 (8:30-11:30), K/1 - Tuesday, May 12, 2nd/3rd - Wednesday, May 13, 4th/5th - Thursday, May 14 from 8:00-10:45. Your support is appreciated!

Secretary's Day is Wednesday, April 22. Thank you to the ladies who work in the office at Caryn!

Mr. Andrew Day is Thursday, April 23. This is a day to honor our amazing custodian. Dress like Mr. Andrew. Tell him thank you, make a card, or give him something special to tell him we appreciate him!

So many great things are happening in Etiwanda classrooms this week. Students are learning, growing, and discovering the joy of reading every day.

Wacky Wednesday - April 15 - Dress like a Pirate

Open House - Save the Date: Caryn Elementary - Thursday, May 7 from 5:30 - 7:30 PM. This event is for the entire family. Students will show off the work they have done in their classrooms through out the year. We will also have a book fair, a lot of good food, and music.. Choir will perform at 6:00 PM on the hard court. Various student projects will be on display in the MPR (AAPEC, Robotics).

April 4 is National School Library Day, and April is School Library Month. Throughout the month, we will be highlighting our amazing school librarians and the important role they play in helping students discover a love for reading.

We would also love to celebrate our students and their love of books. If you have a photo of your student reading or would like to share a reading moment, please send it to dosocialmedia@etiwanda.org so we can share it throughout the month.

As we head into Spring Break, it’s the perfect time to give a shoutout to those making a difference for our students. Know a teacher, student, or community member who went above and beyond this week?
